Volunteer activities at the dog shelter

In cooperation with ADRA, o.p.s., this time volunteers-employees of BONATRANS GROUP a.s. participated with clients from Domov Jistota in walking the dogs from the Bohumín Dog Shelter.
First, we got to know the clients from Domov Jistota, and then we received verbal instructions on how to handle each dog, what to expect from them, how they behave on a leash, and how they react, for example, when they encounter another dog.
Behind the shelter area, there are vast fields and forests, so the walks take place in pristine nature. The pairs set off for an hour-long walk, giving the dogs a chance to get used to people, the leash, and being in the company of a large number of people.
And what awaited us? The unpredictable desire of our four-legged companions to run freely in the country and choose their own direction and pace. In addition to that, there was personal care for the entrusted client, and finding out whether the client can handle the dog on a leash alone, or if they just use the time for a walk and a chat.
And how did it all turn out? Great. We were all satisfied, full of new experiences, and are already looking forward to the next walk.
