Between September 30th and October 1st, the 98th Technical Seminar took place under the auspices of the UNION OF FORGING PLANTS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC (SVAZ KOVÁREN ČR), co-sponsored by BONATRANS. This year the seminar focused on special free forging technologies and making forgings from toolmaking steel.
The programme was divided into two blocks. On the first day, the actual seminar took place, combined with presentations given by different firms. On the next day’s programme was an excursion of the seminar attendees to BONATRANS. The approximately 30 guests had the opportunity, among other things, to walk through the company’s plant and see the technologies used there. “The paper on the rolling of wheels and axles and their heat treatment was presented by Ondřej Kratochvíl, the forging plant technologist. Attending the seminar were also our colleagues from Investments, Sales, Procurements and Research & Development. Our thanks belong to all those who participated in the successful presentation of BONATRANS during the preparation stage as well as the seminar itself, and in the excursion to the plants”, commented Marcel Ujfaluši, Marketing Head. Thus the guests had the opportunity, among other things, to walk through the company’s operations and see the various technologies used there.
