New forging shop

On 4 September, a major investment contract for a new forging shop was signed with ANDRITZ Metals at BONATRANS GROUP a.s.
This important project will be implemented over the next three years, with commissioning of the new technology planned for the end of 2026 and a total investment value of over CZK 1 billion. In 2025, construction work will mainly take place in the forging shop, followed by the installation of the technology in 2026. BONATRANS is thus continuing its ambitious investment development and building on the success of the new rolling shop, wheel line 1 and wheel line 4.
A major challenge awaits us in maintaining high production volumes, as the construction and installation of the new technology will take place while the existing forging shop is in full operation. We believe that we will be able to do this, as we have already tested this with the construction of the new rolling shop.
This project will allow us to increase axle production capacity by up to 30 % and move BONATRANS to the next level in terms of quality, efficiency and reduced energy consumption of production. This will not only contribute to strengthening our position as a market leader, but also to increasing the sustainability of our business.
