GHH-BONATRANS at InnoTrans 2024

Once again this year we were at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin, which took place from 24 till 27 September.

The 14^th season of the most important trade fair in the field of rail transport and equipment brought together nearly 3000 exhibitors with 133 rail vehicles from 59 different countries. GHH-BONATRANS company, with its more than 200 years of tradition, presented itself as a leader in its field, whose products are in operation in more than 80 countries. This year, our presentation focused on service life extension, reducing life cycle costs, recyclability, weight reduction, noise reduction and increasing passenger comfort in rail transport. We thus referred to a number of product innovations from Bohumín and/or Oberhausen.

The core of the stand consisted of four exhibits representing a cross-section of the premium supplier of wheelsets and parts for the most demanding rail applications.

The wheelset for the Regio 160 units from Pesa for Łódź, a representative of heavy rail passenger transport solutions, moreover illustrated our ability to invent, manufacture and deliver a solution with silent wheels. This project utilised the BONASILENCE^®R+, the latest ring damper with extended service life.
The Škoda ForCity Smart 36T tram wheelset in turn symbolised GHH-Radsatz's leading position in tram and light rail deliveries in Europe.
The second place of the exhibition was taken by two free wheels. The BONA830EM, the fourth and latest generation of the BONATRANS stress-optimised wheel for tread braked freight wagons. Wheel life extended by up to 30% and savings in total life cycle cost (TLCC) of the wheelset, both thanks to lower last-turning groove and improved BONASTAR^®ER7 steel grade.
The rubber-resilient GHH^®V60 wheel with aluminium wheel centre for Siemens HFx high-floor trams rounded off the range of exhibits.
