Charity hockey match

On December 2, 2024 the first ever Charity Hockey Match between employees of BONATRANS and Bekaert was played at the Bohumín Ice Rink.
All the takings, as well as donations of both companies amounting to CZK 59,000, will be going to Domov Jistoty organisation, which was damaged in the September floods.
The match was exciting from start to finish. The stadium gradually filled up with employees from both companies, clients of Domov Jistoty, and members of the general public. The fans ensured a great atmosphere, as did the drummer Pavel Salinger from the 100na100 band. During the breaks in play, young skaters from the Orlová Figure Skating club gave demonstrations of their talent.
The most loyal and hardy fans stayed till the very end. The score kept shifting back and forth, and the outcome remained uncertain until the last moment. The game was played shorthanded, on the powerplay, Bekaert even has pulled their goalie, resulting in a power play. In the final minutes, however, BONATRANS scored the last goal, securing a 7:6 victory.
