In recent years the opportunities and requreiments of the Indian market has reoriented Bonatrans India (BIPL) from segment of rail-bound vehicles for passenger transportation and locomotives to freight transportation, in particular to new-built wagons.
Strategic cooperation of BONATRANS and Jupiter Wagon, the leader in wagon manufacture in India, has been transformed onto another level – Jupiter Wagon has acquired the majority share in Bonatrans India Pvt. Ltd. This step will result in further development of BONATRANS in the Indian market, based on cooperation with strong local partner.
