As in previous years, Gutehoffnungshütte Radsatz GmbH is not sending Christmas cards by mail to its business partners.
Along with this and due to the fact that no Christmas party will take place at the end of the year, management has decided to increase its contributions to social organizations to support the needy in our society.
2.500 € have been donated to “the Tafel in Oberhausen”, a registered non-profit association collecting food from stores and restaurants which is not sold and distributing this food to the poor. To realize this work, running costs such as for vehicles, heating, energy and water has to be covered.
Furthermore 100 packages, each with a voucher worth 25 € for articles from a drugstore along with some sweets have been packed. 60 of these will be distributed to residents in the two old age homes. In these homes elderly poor people having an income at the lowest legal limit and being in the need of care are accommodated. The other 40 packages have been given to “Frauen helfen Frauen Oberhausen e.V.”, an organization helping misused women trying to find a new start in life, living in intermediate lodgings concealed from their “families”.
